Prerequisites
Before integrating the controller with Kiwire, it is necessary that the controller and access point:

are connected to the Internet

are reachable on the network

have an IP address assigned to the a through DHCP or static

Kiwire-hostname or Kiwire-ip can be obtain by contacting our technical support for our cloud customer. For enterprise client the ip will be on premises Kiwire ip address.

Part 1: Cambium cnMaestro configuration

Login to your Cambium cnMaestro controller

Go to WLANs > Configuration > AAA Servers

Authentication Server

Host: Kiwire-hostname or Kiwire-Ip

Secret: create a secret pass phrase

CONFIGURE THE FILTER ON ZYXEL/ZYWALL DEVICES
To activate Content Filter Cloud with Zyxel/Zywall devices follow these steps:
Register for free, if you aren’t yet, by visiting this link: Click here to register.
Connect to the dashboard by entering the IP address of Zyxel/Zywall in your browser. Then type login credentials.
First of all you need to change DNSs of the device. To do that click on [Configuration] tab, that with the symbol of the gear, and open the [Network] menu.
Then click on [WAN] submenu.
In the window that appears search the WAN DNS Assignment and choose, in the drop down menu, the User-Defined entry.
Type the following IPs in the two fields respectively:
– 185.236.104.104
– 185.236.105.105
Click on [Apply] button to save the changes.
To configure Dynamic DNS service open [Network] menu and click on [DDNS] submenu.
Check the Enable Dynamic DNS voice and fill in the fields as follows:
– Service Provider: Select WWW.DynDNS.ORG.
– Host Name: Choose a name for this field. For example you can type the word Filter.
– User Name: Type the Content Filter email/username.
– Password: Type the Content Filter password.
Click then on [Apply] button to save the configuration.
After that you can enable DHCP Server to automatically distribute our DNS on internal network devices.
Open the [Network] menu and then click on [DHCP Server] submenu.
Click on the [General] tab and check the Enable DHCP Server voice and type the first IP of the DHCP range in the field IP Pool Starting Address and the number of pool addresses in the field Pool Size.
Click on the [Apply] button and then open the [Advanced] tab.
Search on the page the DNS Server entry and choose, in the drop down menu, the User-Defined voice.
Type the following IPs in the two fields respectively
– 185.236.104.104
– 185.236.105.105
Finally click on the [Apply] button to apply the changes.
Otherwise you can manually change DNS of various devices that you want to filter.
