Prerequisites
Before integrating the controller with Kiwire, it is necessary that the controller and access point:

are connected to the Internet

are reachable on the network

have an IP address assigned to the a through DHCP or static

Kiwire-hostname or Kiwire-ip can be obtain by contacting our technical support for our cloud customer. For enterprise client the ip will be on premises Kiwire ip address.

Part 1: Cambium cnMaestro configuration

Login to your Cambium cnMaestro controller

Go to WLANs > Configuration > AAA Servers

Authentication Server

Host: Kiwire-hostname or Kiwire-Ip

Secret: create a secret pass phrase

CONFIGURE THE FILTER ON FRITZBOX DEVICES
To activate the Content Filter Cloud with Fritzbox devices follow these steps:
Register for free, if you aren’t yet, by visiting this link: Click here to register.
Connect to the dashboard by entering the IP address of Fritzbox in your browser. Then type login credentials.
First of all you need to change DNSs of device. To do that click on [Internet] tab and open the [Account Information] menu. Then click on [DNS Server] tab.
In the window that appears check the voice Use other DNSv4 servers and type respectively these IP:
– 185.236.104.104
– 185.236.105.105
Click on [Apply] button to apply the changes.
To configure Dynamic DNS service open [Internet] menu and click on [Permit Access]. Click then on the [DynDNS] tab.
Check the voice Use DynDNS and fill in the fields as follows:
– DynDNS Provider: Select User-defined.
– Update URL: Copy the following instruction:
NB: Replace the credential as follow:
USER – registration’s email
PASS – registration password, received in email activation confirmation).
– Domain Name: Type in the field ddns.flashstart.com.
– User Name: Type the Content Filter email/username.
– Password: Type the Content Filter password.
Click then on [Apply] button to save the changes.
After that you can enable DHCP Server to automatically distribute our DNS on internal network devices.
Open the [Home Network] menu and then click on [Home Network Overview] submenu.
Scroll through the page and choose the IP Addresses entry and then click on the [IPv4 Addresses] button.
Enable the Enable the DHCP Ssrver voice and type the first and the last IP of the DHCP range.
In the Local DNS sever field insert the IP of the Fritzbox.
Click on the [Apply] button to save the changes.
Otherwise you can manually change DNS of various devices that you want to filter.
